First Trip to the Zoo!

Jaxson had his first trip to the Memphis Zoo on September 25, 2010. PawPaw and Wa-Wa went with us, really don't have to twist their arm when it comes to Jaxson :) Overall, he wasn't impressed and was primarily entertained by the people...not so much by the animals. Still fun times though!

Bumps and on our way to 8 months…

Oh my sweet Jaxson, how you bump your sweet little round head on everything. It seems like every day when I pick you up from daycare they say “He hit his head again today”.  At daycare you love to climb/roll off of the padded little climbing thing…too bad the padded part isn’t on the floor. It is only a matter of time before the bruises start showing up. You love to try to pull up on things, but get scared when you get on your knees and haven’t figured out how to get down the easy way yet. Because you are changing so much right before our eyes, I’m doing your “what you are doing” about a week shy of your 8 month birthday. Wow…8 months…brings tears because it’s all too fast. You are eating stage 3 baby foods now and continue to be a very good eater. Your bottle feedings are decreasing and that’s sad for Mommy & Daddy because that’s our special time. With our crazy hectic lives, it was always nice to take a few minutes to give you your bottle and just love on you. Now, you want to be on the go-go-go! I think your favorite part of the day is chasing the dogs in the walker. You smile so big when you see them running from you! You are fascinated with cabinet handles/knobs, blinds and anything else you don’t need to be in. You have 2 visible teeth and they hurt when you bite! For the 1st time in a LONG time, you were congestion free last week! But we had hardly any humidity…but guess what is back this week?! HUMIDITY & STUFFY NOSE! I see hope in our future though…in just a few weeks no more forcing zyrtec down you at night. I am so proud to be your Moma and love the way you light up when I pick you up from daycare. Today I went to talk to your teachers about you falling all the time and you cried when I had to leave. It brought me to tears and I almost picked you up and ran away with you- to our house of course! If Daddy could see that face, he would agree that Mommy needs to be a stay-at-home-mom. Daddy and I love you beyond measure and I don’t think we will ever be able to tell you that enough. Maybe one day you will have a little brother or sister, but right now we want to devote all of our time to you and cherish every minute of watching you grow. I will start getting things ready for your 1st birthday soon. I usually have big ideas in my head, I draw them out and then Daddy makes them happen (look at the drawing of your room in your scrapbook). Between the two of us, we usually get what we want out of Daddy :) Since we are doing a “milk and cookies” theme (good thing you aren’t lactose intolerant!), there aren’t any cute invitations that I can order so I will start making those by hand soon and I’m so excited to get started on them!
Happy early 8 months my sweet baby…I love you

Because He's So Cute...

Because he's so cute, I had to post a few pictures!
Getting ready to go to school Monday morning

Love this...

Where's Jaxson?!

Anniversary-3 Years

Today makes 3 years me and Daddy have been married. We said "I Do" at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at an outdoor wedding in Jackson, Tennessee. Needless to say, Daddy is stuck with Mommy for good now! :) The past 3 years have really passed quickly: moved to Hopkinsville, Mommy started her big girl job, bought a house, traded vehicles a time or two, Daddy changed jobs, found out we were having an angel, Daddy changed jobs again...it has definitely been an entertaining ride! I don't think we ever imagined three years ago today that we would have such a PRECIOUS baby boy to love on though! Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband! I am so thankful for all that you do for our family and for the amount of love that you show and have for our precious baby boy!

Grandparents Day!

Happy 1st "Grandparents Day" to the best grandparents we could ever ask for! We love you and know that Jaxson is very blessed!

Little Buckeye!

Jaxson with his sweater vest on for the Buckeye game. We bought this for him at the Ohio State game last year when he was only the size of a grapefruit :)

After a long hard day of watching football...

ToOtH!!

Mr. Jaxson finally has a tooth that has broken through the skin! I thought the day would never come! :)
You can barely see it but it's definitely sharp! It's the bottom right middle tooth
That's also the bottle in his mouth...it's the only way we could get a good picture!

7 months old…and Mommy is behind…

Jaxson, you turned 7 months old on August 29, 2010. On your 7 month birthday, we went to church and had brunch at the Clarksville Country Club. Although you couldn’t enjoy the tasty food, Mommy & Daddy ate enough for you too! I’m late on posting…it seems like the days have flown by since you turned 7 months. Mommy had a short work week so we spent a few days in Bolivar with PawPaw and Wa-Wa and then we had Labor Day and then Mommy got sick and you’ve been a little sick too. Every day I look at you and think “where did my baby go”. You have become such a big boy lately and are heavy-heavy to tote around. You have mastered crawling, mastered the walker and have started to pull up on things- which led to a busted gum at daycare this morning. You have mastered the word “da-da”…can we learn a new word now like…”ma-ma”!! You have changed schedules only slightly since moving into your new big boy room at daycare, where you are the only boy with 3 other little girls! You normally take 7-8 ounces of formula (Similac, of course) around 6 a.m., you will eat a jar of fruit and take a 4 ounce bottle around 9:30 a.m., naptime, a vegetable and maybe a bottle around 12:30 p.m., naptime at 2:30 p.m., a 6-7 ounce bottle around 3:30 p.m., vegetable and fruit jar around 5:45 p.m. and either a bottle around 7:00 p.m. or before you are ready for bed at 8:00 p.m. You love to play with toys in your floor, pull up on your clothes basket, drag out your play barn, slobber, chew on your cold teether or vibrating teether, reach for the television remote, pull on Mommy’s baker’s rack in the kitchen and grab everything on it that you can reach from the walker, chase the dogs in the walker or go for walks in the stroller. You still aren’t very interested in television or cartoons. You are such a happy boy and you are always smiling (much like your uncle Jason). If you aren’t smiling, we know you are sick or hungry.

You are the most loved little boy in the world!

I Love You- Love Mommy
